Intro

Text Widgets

There are four text widgets within the Standard Widgets.

To access widgets: Click the gray + symbols between every widget box (it turns blue when you hover your mouse over it). Click the to add a new widget box.

Text Widgets

Spotlight currently has a Heading widget, and the ability to add H1 headings. However, because the title of the page is already an H1, use of the heading widget is discouraged. Instead, use markdown to designate headings for your page. Use the # sign to indicate which heading level you are using (## = H2, ### = H3, #### = H4).

For example, here is how the below text was written in Spotlight:

## Heading 2

### Heading 3

#### Heading 4

##### Heading 5

###### Heading 6

And here is how they show up:

Click Text and a text widget box will appear. Type in your text.

To insert a hyperlink, select the text you want to be link. A pop-up will appear. From here, you can format your text:

Bold the selected text.
Italicize the selected text.
Add a hyperlink to the selected text.
1. Click the .
2. A popup will appear and ask you to enter the URL. Be sure to include the or the system will ask you if it should be added automatically.
