Creating a New Exhibit

Creating a New Exhibit

  1. Login to expo.uoregon.edu
  2. Click Create a New Exhibit.

  1. Creating the exhibit
    1. Enter a title for the exhibit. An editable URL slug will be automatically generated
    2. Click in URL slug box if you’d like to edit your slug
    3. Add tags. Be sure to use plurals for all tags (e.g. local histories, dogs, cats), as these act as keywords for searching the entire website for only digital exhibits.
    4. Click Save

  1. You are sent to your exhibit’s dashboard, where you will find your navigation and configuration.

Locating Exhibit Dashboard

  1. Login to expo.uoregon.edu
  2. You will be taken to the exhibit homepage. Click on Your exhibits.

  1. Thumbnails of your exhibits will show. Click on the exhibit you want to work on.

  1. You will be taken to your exhibit’s homepage. Click on your email address in the upper right-hand corner.

  1. Click Exhibit Dashboard.

 

Navigating Exhibit Dashboard

  1. Navigate to your Dashboard.
  2. Find the sidebar on the left-hand side of the screen. You will return to this sidebar throughout the setup process.

  1. Dashboard will bring you back to the dashboard from any page
  2. Analytics will take you to the analytics page. You can see analytics for your exhibit if the admin sets that up.
  3. Configuration contains pages to help you configure your exhibit. This portion is only visible to admins.
  4. Curation contains pages to add items, pages, and browse categories.
