Exploring Academic Integrity in Your Research

A UO Libraries self-guided tutorial on integrity in library research and using sources ethically

2 - Scholarly Conversation

What is the scholarly conversation?

The scholarly conversation is where academics, scholars, researchers, and students, share (through assignments, publishing, social media, conferences, etc) their research and writing. They make their findings accessible to the wider academic community and the world in general.

In other words, the scholarly conversation includes you. Whether you are doing your regular coursework, writing a final paper for a course, or sharing your thesis with the world using UO Scholars' Bank, you are now engaging in academic discourse.
