Locating Maps in UO Libraries

A number of items in our collection are kept in a locked area to protect them because they require special care and handling. Use the Mediated Access Form to request cataloged items from Maps Rare, Maps Rare Mini, and Maps Rare Series as well as Maps Media. We will be happy to retrieve the requested items and will contact you via email with instructions on how to come in and use the requested items in Knight Library. Just because these items are given a little extra protection, doesn't mean that they aren't available for your use. We are happy to work with you.

Maps Rare contains many of our older maps, and some of these are not cataloged. If you are looking for an older map and do not find what you want in the open map area, Please contact Map Research Assistance about what you are looking for. We can work with you to locate the information you need for your research and arrange for you to view the uncatalogued Rare Maps of a specific area.
