Locating Maps in UO Libraries

Maps and Atlases held in Maps Rare, Maps Rare Mini, Maps Rare Series, and Map Media need to be retrieved from a secure location. Use the Request Mediated Access Items in Map Collection form to arrange to use these items in Knight Library. We will respond to your request within two business days and contact you via email to arrange for you to use the requested items.

Maps Rare contains many of our older maps, and some of these are not cataloged. If you are looking for an older map and do not find what you want in the open map area, Please contact Map Research Assistance about what you are looking for. We can work with you to locate the information you need for your research and arrange for you to view the uncatalogued Rare Maps of a specific area.
