Library Workshop Descriptions

Information, materials, and schedules for all currently offered library workshops

How to Use This Guide

Are you interested in learning about citation management, statistics, a programming language, or how to build a website? You can use this guide to discover tools and skills to advance your studies, your research, or your career. Workshop descriptions include information about prerequisite skills so that you can find the right fit for you. You can find more educational resources on our blog, Data@UO.

Some library workshops will be offered in-person and others remotely via Zoom. Library workshops are typically 1-2 hours. Our library events calendar is updated regularly. Unregistered and wait-listed patrons are welcome to attend in-person workshops provided there is enough space to accommodate registered attendees.

If you are an instructor and would like to request a tutorial for your class, write us at DataServices@uoregon.edu.

Do you need help with a specific issue in statistics or programming?

Interested in something more in-depth than these workshops? Check out our list of Data Science related credit courses at UO.

Note on accessibility: all of our workshop classrooms are wheelchair accessible and include at least some chairs with no arms. Some of the software we teach requires an additional module or toolbar to be installed in order to make it accessible using a screen reader. We include specific notes to this effect on the workshop page, but please reach out to us directly at DataServices@uoregon.edu if you have any questions, need assistance installing a modified program, or would like to request specific accommodations.
