College Success: Skills for Thriving at the UO

Offering undergraduates outstanding research opportunities at a major research university, the Center for Undergraduate Research and Engagement (CURE) brings together institutional priorities of enhancing student access, promoting student engagement, and enriching the undergraduate experience.

In past years, the Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies (CLLAS) has offered an Undergraduate Research Award. Check the CLLAS website for more information or opportunities.

Up to 10 research fellowships will be awarded to DucksRISE students to explore and engage in research and creative work under the mentorship of a UO faculty member, full-time for a minimum of 8 weeks during Summer 2022. DucksRISE Research Fellows will receive a $4,000 stipend and faculty mentors a $1,000 stipend.

OURJ is an open access undergraduate research journal at the University of Oregon. It showcases some of the best research and publications by UO undergraduate students across all disciplines.

The UO Libraries' Award for Undergraduate Research Excellence rewards students who demonstrate high-quality academic work and excellent library research skills. Awards of $1,000 - $1,500 are given in the two categories: (1) Single term papers and projects from a 300 level or above course (2) Theses or multi-term papers and projects.

The symposium enables undergraduates to share their ideas, discoveries, and artistic expression with the campus and local community. The symposium invites students to select their preferred style of presentation to best accommodate their projects. Held in the EMU in the mode of an academic conference, the symposium will include poster sessions, oral presentations and exhibition space for performing and fine arts.
