Dance

The following is a selected list of resources for starting research in Dance. Most of these resources are located in the Knight Library on the second floor, with reference resources on the third floor in the Music Services reference collection.

Audio Resources at UO

Need to find music for a dance project?  The UO Libraries have a large collection of audio recordings on CD, LP (vinyl), and cassette, housed in the Audio & Video Room on the 3rd floor of Knight Library.  Patrons may check recordings out of the library to take home, or may listen to them in the library at the listening carrels in the Audio & Video Room.

UO also subscribes to several streaming audio databases that allow you to listen online via computer or mobile device, create playlists and sample clips, and read liner notes.  If accessing these from off campus, be sure to log in through the UO VPN client first so that the database will allow you to access it.

Searching for Audio in the UO Libraries Music Collection

Use the Advanced Search interface in LibrarySearch to narrow down the material type to "Audio & Video" when searching:

When you see your search results, you will also see facets on the left that allow you to filter by specific audio format.  For example, to see only CDs, click the "Audio CDs" facet:
