Call for Exhibition Proposals: Knight Library Tiny Galleries

Knight Library Tiny Galleries

Call for Proposals

Call for Exhibition Proposals

The University of Oregon Knight Library Tiny Galleries Team seeks proposals for 3 site-specific installations that build upon and respond to what you are learning through your coursework and research at the University of Oregon.

The Tiny Galleries repurpose obsolete phone booths in the historic Knight Library entrance halls dating back to 1937. We invite proposals for installations that showcase an interesting project, transform the phone booths into immersive or interactive experiences, display your own creative works in a traditional gallery format, or other engaging experiences.

Successful applicants will revitalize the Knight Library entrance halls and provide a unique opportunity for you to reflect on and share what you’re learning, express artistic ideas, engage more deeply with the broader campus community, and contribute to academic discourse.

Award

The Tiny Galleries Implementation Team will select 3 winners. Each winner will receive:

  • A $1,500 award*
  • Catered Tiny Galleries Opening event open to the public
  • Professional photography of your Tiny Gallery
  • Persistent link to Tiny Gallery photographs for your resume archived in Scholars’ Bank, the institutional repository for the University of Oregon
