OA Accessibility

Open Access is about providing access, and that includes via accessibility measures. While not everything is as accessible as it should be, here are a few projects, and the measures the UO Libraries' are taking to work towards truly Open Access.

HathiTrust: Access for users with Print Disabilities
If you have been certified as having a print disability by the University of Oregon's Accessible Education Center, you are eligible for extra access within HathiTrust, a digital archive of library materials converted from print collections. The Trust currently contains 15 million volumes, but only 38% are in the public domain. They offer additional access to in-copyright materials, lawfully, via their accessibility program.
