This guide provides information on the different ways you can use LibrarySearch to locate print and electronic resources.

LibrarySearch Overview

LibrarySearch defaults to allow for the broadest search possible and will include print and electronic resources available through the UO Libraries and regional libraries in the Summit system. You can refine and limit your search in various ways, such as limiting just to articles. The boxes below provide information each feature to help you decide which to use.

'UO + Summit + Articles, etc.'

This search scope includes books, e-books, media, maps, microforms, journals and e-journals owned by UO and Summit libraries, and full-text articles from journals, magazines, and newspapers. This is the default option in LibrarySearch.

'UO Libraries'

The search within the 'UO Libraries' scope includes books, e-books, media, maps, microforms, journals and e-journals owned by UO Libraries.

LibrarySearch search scope UO Libraries only

'Articles'

The 'Articles' search scope includes articles, book chapters, and other content found in many library databases and from journal publishers.
