Where to Find Help at UO

Innovation Partnership Services

Innovation Partnership Services (IPS) works with UO innovators, the public, and industry to accelerate the adoption of works and innovations derived from UO research and education. We help faculty, staff, and students understand their intellectual property rights, and we work with innovators to file for copyrights, trademarks, and patents. In addition, we help faculty working with community research partners understand and negotiate joint ownerships of works.

Sponsored Project Services

Sponsored Project Services (SPS) supports proposal planning, preparation, and submission, as well as award setup, administration, and management. All grant proposals submitted to external funding sources (public and private) must be reviewed, cleared and endorsed by Sponsored Project Services before submission. Awards are made to the University or the UO Foundation on behalf of the University. The PI is responsible for the technical work but does not receive the award directly.

Research Development Services (RDS) helps increase externally-funded research activity at the University. RDS also oversees internal awards  and coordinates the internal processes for limited submission opportunities.
