Research Guide for Music Style Periods

This guide contains specialized research guides for music performers or scholars, organized by style period.  These guides are intended to help music patrons do the following:

  • Find core reference materials for starting research about music of a particular style period
  • Find historical overviews of the music of a particular style period
  • Find core academic journals focused on the music of a particular style period
  • Find scholarly & professional organizations dedicated to the research or performance of music of a particular style period
