HIST 407: Seminar on the Cold War in Latin America (Zahler)

Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to the course guide for HIST 407: Seminar on the Cold War in Latin America!

This guide will point you to resources available through the UO Libraries for research on the Cold War in Latin America. There are resources for finding both primary and secondary sources, including books, scholarly articles, statistics/data, and more. These resources can be found by navigating the guide's pages in the left-hand column.

On every page, below the table of contents on the left, are two boxes. The Need Help? box has links to the library's 24x7 chat system, a general email ticketing system (if you want to speak with me specifically, it's best to just email me directly), and a help form (under the Phone icon). The other box is my profile box with my picture and information, as well as a link directly to me email.

If you have any questions as you're using the guide, always feel free to get in touch with me at joellies@uoregon.edu. Enjoy researching!

Research is a Process (Infographic)

Research is an iterative process, meaning it's repetitive but you learn as you move forward and make changes. It's more cyclical than straightforward or linear. Use the guide navigation and go to the page titled "The Research Process" to learn more about each of the steps of the process, and don't be afraid to jump around between steps. Fluently navigating these steps efficiently gets easier the more research you do, so be patient if things aren't coming together easily or immediately. But if you find yourself needing help with any step of the process, I'm always available to help!
