Finding books and government publications held by the library:

LibrarySearch
Find items (books, videos, primary source materials, etc.) owned by the UO Libraries and Summit libraries. Select 'UO + Summit' from the pull-down menu on the right of the search box to exclude articles.
WorldCat
WorldCat provides access to the catalogs of libraries from around the world. The database contains millions of bibliographic records describing books, journals, maps, musical scores, recordings, videos, manuscripts, etc. Use WorldCat to find and request items not available through UO Libraries or Summit.

Search for individual countries in multiple UN databases. Contents include major speeches, resolutions sponsored, and country reports on performance under various human rights conventions.
Official Documents of the United Nations (ODS)
ODS covers all types of official United Nations documentation, beginning in 1993. Resolutions are available from 1946.
DEC: USAID's Development Experience Clearinghouse
130,000 development documents produced for or by the US Agency for International Development. 25,000 are available full-text; check with Document Center about access to others

Find Government & IGO Publications using Google

Enter your topic's keywords and then, in the Search by Site or Domain box, enter the domain extension for the country or IGO
- Here is a list of country domain extensions.
- If there is one, you can also use the government domain abbreviation to narrow your results to official government publications.
  - E.g., you can use: '.gouv.fr' for France, or '.gob.mx' for Mexico. You may need to some searching using just the country domain extension to find out what the government domain extension is. Searching on the keyword 'ministry' is a good way to find a government site.
- Although some governments publish a lot of information in English, most documents will be in the language(s) of that country and thus must be searched for in that language.

- NATO = .nato.int
- OECD = .oecd.org
- United Nations = .un.org
