Bureau of Indian Affairs
The federal agency (under the Department of the Interior) charged with providing services to American Indians and Alaska Natives.
Bureau of Indian Education
Formerly known as the Office of Indian Education Programs, it is "responsible for educating approximately 41,051 American Indian and Alaska Native children at 183 elementary and secondary schools on 64 reservations in 23 states."
Indian Health Service
An agency of the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) responsible for providing federal health services to American Indians and Alaska Natives.
