Using HathiTrust

HathiTrust provides an intuitive and well designed viewing and browsing function. However, it's important to remember that not everything in the database is available for full viewing. Items with limitations are clearly marked with a lock icon and identified as "Limited (search-only)". There are a variety of options for viewing material. These are:

1. Vertical Scroll
2. Flip of pages side by side
3. Thumbnail overview
4. One page at a time
5. Plain text 

The view can be expanded to full screen, rotated and magnified. It is also possible to jump to specific page numbers or sections such as covers, title pages, or table of contents.

It is also possible to search within the text from the full view.
