A guide with resources relevant to fine and visual arts.

Finding video

To find video available through UOregon libraries, use library search. If we do not have a video you would like, you can request items through Summit or Interlibrary Loan (information found below).

If you would like to browse online video services provided by the library, here are two recommendations. You can find others on the UO Libraries' Video Collection guide.

Borrowing from other libraries (Summit and ILL)

Borrowing from Other Libraries

You have the option to borrow material outside of the University of Oregon through two services: Summit and Interlibrary Loan (ILL).

Summit

Summit is usually the fastest way to get it from another library. This allows you to borrow material from participating institutions in the Orbis Cascade Alliance.

When you conduct a search in LibrarySearch and log in with your DuckID, you will see the option to "Place Summit Request" for available material. Simply click that link and choose your preferred delivery location. When the book arrives, you will be notified via email to pick it up on campus.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

If an item is not available at UO or through Summit, use Interlibrary Loan (ILL). This allows you to borrow material from institutions across the country and, in some rare cases, abroad.

To manually submit an ILL request, use the Interlibrary Loan Request form.

Once the item is available, you will be notified via email.

Design Library Video

The Design Library has been purchasing a limited number of art videos. These are available for check out in the Design Library, and are located behind the circulation desk.

Free online video

The Find Videos & Films research guide has a number of free resources to find video.

Don't forget about the public library! If you can't find what you are looking for at the University Libraries, and can't wait for an item to come from another university, search the collections at your public library. You must have an address in Eugene or Springfield to check out items from those libraries.
