Oregon Legal Research

Oregon BarBooks are practice-oriented guides on various legal topics. They provide good background information on legal issues, as well as citations to relevant statutes and cases. 

• Any Oregon resident can request access to BarBooks though the State of Oregon Law Library.
• Access for Law Students and Faculty is through the law library website portal. 

Westlaw and Lexis (subscription platforms for law students and faculty only) provide access to the following Oregon secondary sources:

Practice guides are available in the Law Library, 2nd Floor, Call Numbers KFO 2406.O68- KFO 2995.J882 2019. These print guides from the Oregon State Bar and other resources can be used in the library. 

Law Reviews and Journals from Oregon Law Schools are available through Westlaw and Lexis (law students and faculty only), as well as through the law library catalog and HeinOnline for the UO Community. UO Law Journals also can be access in Scholars Bank.
