SBUS 453: Law & Sports Business

This guide is designed to help researchers outside the UO School of Law carry out basic basic legal research on sports business topics.

Secondary Sources

These are resources about law, versus the laws themselves (also called primary sources).

Articles in business journals can help identify sports business topics that contain legal aspects.

Articles in law journals generally offer both analysis of law and cites to the laws themselves.

It is recommended that researchers use secondary sources to find references to actual laws (including cases), rather than searching directly for laws within statutes, case, or regulations databases!
