Before we start to turn one of your questions from earlier into a scholarly source, let's think for a minute about how search engines work.
Search engines match the words you search to all the stuff they have access to and show you the closest matches. What makes search engines different is what they have access to and how good they are at matching. LibrarySearch has access to lots of stuff that Google (even Google Scholar!) doesn't because UO Libraries subscribes to lots of scholarly databases and journals, but it's not as good as Google at matching.
This means we have to think a little bit differently about the words we use to search and take advantage of special features of both scholarly sources and our LibrarySearch platform to make sure we get the best matches.
For example, if you're interested in the question Why do people believe conspiracy theories?, Google might find that exact phrase somewhere, but LibrarySearch might need you to try conspiracy beliefs or misinformation psychology to match the language used in scholarly sources.
