Learning Outcomes and Assessment

How to Use this Guide

This guide compiles resources on the subject of learning outcomes and assessment in law schools.  American Bar Association Standards require accredited law schools to establish and publish learning outcomes and use formative and summative assessment to measure and improve student learning.  The resources compiled in this guide may help faculty members as they work toward implementing the ABA Standards. The guide is organized by topics listed in the menu on the left side of this page.

For most of the books listed in this guide, you can hover your cursor over the title of the book to read a description.

If you need assistance retrieving a book, please contact the Circulation desk in the law school library, (541) 346-3088 or lawcirc@uoregon.edu, or contact Megan Austin, meganaus@uoregon.edu. If you need assistance accessing an article, finding any other resource, or if you would like to add a resource to this guide, please contact Megan Austin.
