Libraries Assessment: Libraries/Ithaka S+R Faculty & Graduate Student Surveys Project

This guide provides information about the 2022 Ithaka S+R Survey, led by UO Libraries.

FAQs

Why is the University of Oregon Libraries running this survey project? What do we hope to do with the survey results?

This survey will provide us important data from current faculty and graduate students about their research, teaching, and publishing practices which will inform the strategic direction of the Libraries and future services.  We hope to use the results guide how we engage with faculty and students, and how we modify and create new services to support the UO Community moving forward.

Will the results be shared publicly?

Yes, generalized data will be shared back to faculty and students in forums like University Senate and ASUO Senate.

When will I get my email invitation?

Faculty and graduate students will receive an email invitation (to their @uoregon.edu address) with a link to the survey on April 19, 2022.

When is the deadline to take this? How long will it take me?

The deadline to take the survey is May 20, 2022, and it should take between 15-30 minutes to complete.

If I get interrupted, can I save and finish the survey at a later time?

Yes, you can take the survey in multiple sessions. If you save your responses and go back to your custom survey link, you'll be able to continue where you left off.

Can I modify my responses?

No, if you already answered a question, you won't be able to back up and modify your responses due to limitations of the survey software.

Who can I contact if I have questions?

If you have any questions not covered in this guide, you can contact the survey PIs, Nancy Cunningham (nancyc@uoregon.edu) and Cameron Mulder (cmulder7@uoregon.edu) for support.
