Government Information--sub-guide to the U.S. Congress

Congressional Publications

The U.S. Congress and its associated agencies produce a large volume and diversity of publications.  These include the:

  • Congessional Record of daily proceedings and debates
  • Published committee hearings
  • House and Senate reports
  • The "Serial Set" (which the UO also has in print) compiles House and Senate prints and reports, and also includes reports submitted to Congress by executive agencies. It is a rich, historical resource.
  • Reports of the Congressional Research Service--a body of experts who research issues for congress.
