E-Access

E-Access exists for almost all journals in psychology and related disciplines.  You will find 3 different types of ejournal article access.

  • PDF is embedded in the database.  This is the easiest access since it is just click and go.
  • Full text is available through UO Libraries "FindText" or  "Local Holdings" Link.  This is the most common access and gets you to all the journals that the library or has access to.
  • Full text t is NOT owned by UO, but we can usually  get it for you via interlibrary loan - this typically takes 2 - 4 working days.

Journals

There are 2 easy ways to finding  the journals and journal articles.

  • Databases such as APA PsycNET, PubMed allow searching by author, topic, journal name etc.
  • An e-journal table of contents database called "BrowZine" provides searching by the journal's name

What to do whent the article full text doesn't seem to be working

Given the thousands of journals the library buys, things can go wrong occasionally.

Here are some ways to trouble shoot when this happens:

  1. Double check that you have logged into the library with your DuckID.
  2. Check the year of the article and whether the Library has access to that specific year.
  3. Do a search for the journal name in LibrarySearch using quotes around the exact name of the journal.
  4. Email the psychology librarian with the full citation and a screen shot or link. (bbjenk@uoregon.edu)
  5. Submit a problem report - usually takes a few days
