The UO Libraries supports an institutional repository, Scholars' Bank, which can be used for publishing preprints, and a data repository, Scholars' Bank: Data, where you can deposit your data and code. We also can provide technical support should you wish to deposit your data with a field-specific repository. By depositing in a repository, your data will be preserved according to best practices in digital preservation standards.
You can get cited for your data by publishing your data via a digital repository
- Deposit your data in Scholars' Bank: Data or another scholarly repository such as ICPSR
- The repository registers your data set with the DOI system that creates a permanent link to your data or code
- Your data can be cited with the DOI in the same way as a published article
Theses and Dissertation Data
Data for theses and dissertations can be embargoed for up to 2 years, giving you time to finish related publication(s) before the data is publicly available.
If you plan to deposit theses or dissertation data into Scholars' Bank: Data, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
