If you are doing more specialized or complicated research, try using Advanced Search.
Using Advanced Search will give you more search options. The default search is by keyword, but you can also choose Author/creator, Title, Subject, ISBN, ISSN and Call number.
Advanced Search also gives you the option to limit your search by publication date, material type, language, date range, and search scope.
You can limit by publication date to any year, last year, last 2 years, last 5 years, last 10 years and last 20 years.
You can use the material type limiter to search by All items, Print books, ebooks, Articles, Journals, Audio & Video, Maps, Scores, Images and reviews.
You can also use Advanced Search to limit your search by language. So, if you are getting a lot of results in languages you don't understand you can use the language limiter to exclude those results by choosing the language you want to use.
Another feature of Advanced Search is the ability to limit your search to certain collections held at the UO Libraries. These include the Curriculum Collection, Documents Collection, Juvenile Collection, Knight Reference Collection, Juvenile Collection, and Special Collections.
