This is a guide to requesting digital copies of films, DVDs, and videotapes through the UO Libraries. The UO Libraries can digitize media for instructors for use in courses within specific guidelines.

Currently, the UO Libraries cannot copy and upload the entire content of copyrighted videos to Canvas course sites without violating copyright law.

The maximum file size for video uploads to Canvas is 500 MB.

Before submitting a request, please refer to our webpage Instructional Use of Copyrighted Media: Digitization and Streaming, which details what is allowable under fair use and what is prohibited by copyright law.
