Go to the Zotero website at the link above, click on "Log in," and register for a free account. 

From the Zotero homepage or www.zotero.org/download, download the Zotero desktop application and browser extension (Zotero Connector) for your Internet browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari).

Citation Style Guides

American Chemical Society (ACS) citation style

The most recent ACS style guide is available electronically. We have access only to the ACS Style Quick Guide. Here you can find examples for creating citations.

The 3rd, 2nd and first editions are also available in print (2006, 1997, and 1986) in the Price Science Commons & Research Library (call number: QD8.5 .A25).

University of Canterbury Libraries has produced a helpful quick guide.

How to switch

Adding items to your library

Use the DOI or other standard number:
From the Zotero toolbar, s
elect “Add Item by Identifier” button () .

Copy and paste the standard number -  the DOI, URL, PMID, ISBN, or web site link into the pop up window.

Press the Enter key
